Los colines Brigade, a popular description of small frogs that generally inhabit the fields of Cuba. They begin their activity in intricate areas to which no artistic manifestation had ever reached, from Cordovanal, Boquerones, La Herradura, La Piedra, Pico Blanco, to Arroyo Bermejo. The group stayed in schools, in social circles, in the houses of kind peasants. They spent two days at home. They carried some old trumpet speakers with which they made a radio program work all afternoon. Like the tiny amphibians themselves, they cheered the mountain and bounded from path to path. The first call was attended by prestigious artists such as Mario Crespo, Magalys Bermúdez, Emilio Sánchez, Frank Abel Dopico or Nelson Águila, among others. Most of the works that were part of the Mejunje Group were premiered in the hills, under precarious conditions.Although the special period reduced the economic environment of the brigade, the guarandinga of Los Colines never stopped taking art to rural areas with mattresses and cauldrons on their backs. Little by little, they covered territories surrounding Manicaragua and intricate areas of other municipalities, a company that has continued until today.Reference: El hijo menor y poco reconocido de Ramón Silverio.
