Frasch Foundation, Committee on Awards, 1967-1971
Scope and Contents
This series pertains to Davis's activity in numerous non-University committees and organizations. The Federation of American Societies of Experimental Biology (FASEB), the International Union of Nutritional Sciences (IUNS), the Institute for Nutrition (for which he served as president in 1975-1976), and the American Institute of Biological Sciences (AIBS) are well documented. Davis also was active in the National Research Council of the National Academy of Sciences. His participation in two projects in the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) - the Biotechnology and Human Factors Subgroup of the Working Group on Extra-Terrestrial Resources and the Manned Orbital Research Laboratory (Biosatellite) - are extensively represented as well.
