Scope and Content
This collection consists of the existing speeches, lectures, and writings of Harry R. Trusler, Dean of the College of Law at the University of Florida from 1915 to 1948. The materials cover a wide variety of topics including materials related to his special area of expertise (school law), commentaries on student social fraternities, a speech in support of George Smathers in the Smathers-Pepper Senate race of 1950, and a 1922 treatise entitled "Hunger". Also included in the collection are selected course notes in Elocution, Damages, and Florida Constitutional Law, as well as a manuscript for a work entitled "Florida Cases in Damages."
