University of Florida General Files, 1936-1986
Scope and Contents
Correspondence, committee, and subject files related to Dauer's professional activities as a member of the University of Florida faculty. A number of files pertain to his involvement with university committees, the Faculty Senate, organizations such as Florida Blue Key and Phi Beta Kappa, and various councils and task forces. Several files relate to the Department of Political Science, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and various programs and initiatives of these academic units. A small number of files concern academic freedom and faculty-administration relations, but most of the files dealing with these topics can be found in the Academic Freedom and Tenure Committee Series. The series is arranged alphabetically.
