1979 World Ivory Trade Study

Wildlife Services Ltd. completed this study as a consultancy for Iain Douglas-Hamilton on behalf of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN). Parker's final report, titled "The Ivory Trade," was submitted in June 1979. In addition to copies of this report, these files include research data, reference materials, reports, and Parker's notes. Although most of the documents date from 1979 or earlier, some of the materials date after 1979, including Parker's testimony in the U.S., correspondence regarding the report, and data that he continued to collect.
