Video - President Ronald Reagan's endorsement for Connie Mack (including outtakes), 1988 November 11

 File — Box: AV41, Folder: 14

Scope and Contents

From the Sub-Series:

These files document Connie Mack's 1988 Senate campaign including correspondence, news articles, campaign events, speeches, news releases, and other campaign related records. In 1987 Connie Mack announced his bid for incumbent Democratic Senator Lawton Chiles' seat. Chiles decided to retire rather than seek a fourth term. The resulting campaign was a very close race between Connie Mack and Democratic challenger Buddy MacKay. Mack received endorsements and support from President Ronald Reagan and Vice-Presidential candidate Dan Quayle. The election was so close there was a recount until MacKay conceded eight days later. This subseries is arranged alphabetically.
