The Andrew St. George Collection dates from 1944 to 1999. The materials include manuscripts, research notes, clippings, newspapers, photographs, books, flyers, and correspondence. The collection is useful to researchers interested in politics, history, and journalism in Latin America and the Caribbean during the 20th Century.

It includes materials related to François Duvalier’s "Papa Doc" dictatorship and documents regarding "Project Nassau"; a Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS) documentary about the invasion of Haiti by Cubans, Haitians, and the United States. These documents also contain the hearings of the Special Subcommittee on Investigations of the Committee on Interstate and Foreign Commerce House of Representatives to determine if CBS was financing revolutions. Additionally, it includes documents related to the biggest stock manipulators from the United States who fled to Brazil in the 1950s, such as Ben Jack Cage, Lowell Birrell, and Earl Belle.
