Slides, photographs, and field notebooks from Hans Riekerk's research and extension work in the field at IFAS (including over-flights) pirmarily from 1977-1997. Some slides were taken by his assitant Larry Korhnak. Riekerk also used many of the slides for his teaching courses at the School of Forestry and Conservation Resources. Riekerk retired in 1997, but continued to serve as emeritus faculty in the School of Forest Resources and Conservation.

The slides were originally organized in binders, but have been removed to slide boxes for preservation storage. The slides have been individually labeled with a code to maintain original order by Riekerk. Many are missing (likely pulled from the binders over the course of use and not returned). A few have notation on them, but most are without dates (excluding time of development, which could be much later).

Additional material found on a USB drive containing a "timeline" of his career at IFAS and projects/research he undertook, provides more context for the slides and photographs. These are still being processed. Contact the archivist for more information.
