Growers and Shippers League of Florida (folder 2), 1957-1959

Series 3 is an artificial series created from records found primarily in the second accession. The records were poorly identified and appear to have come from multiple sources. It includes records of Sydney Octavius Chase, Joshua Coffin Chase, Sydney Octavius Chase, Jr., Randall Chase, Alfred Foster and William Justice Lee. To these were added audits donated by Cecilia Johnson and a few files from the fourth accession. Content is similar to records in series 1 and 2, but reflects the influence of the second generation as well. Of particular interest are the extensive files on the Mediterranean Fruit Fly campaign and the files related to weather events. The latter came from the files of Randall Chase donated in 2008.
