Case files belonging to Florida Circuit Judge John A. H. Murphree concerning the 1956 Supreme Court Case Virgil Hawkins v. Board of Control regarding the admission of Virgil Hawkins, a Black man, as a law student at the all white law school at the University of Florida. Murphree was appointed by the Florida Supreme Court to act as commissioner on the case and gather information for the Florida Supreme Court ruling.

This collection is comprised primarily of documents related to the receivership of the Seaboard Air Line Railway from 1930 to 1947 as well as documents related to the reorganization of the Florida East Coast Railway in the 1940s.

Copies of research material gathered by Steven Lawson for articles on the Groveland case and the Florida Legislative Investigation Committee (Johns Committee).

This collections contains packaging labels for citrus, lemons, and other products from approximately the 1930s to 1950s.

Photographs of Carlstrom Airfield in Arcadia Florida taken by either Lieutenant W.L.G. Smith, officer in charge of the photography section at Carlstrom, or Sergeant Thomas O’Connor, who trained under Smith in aerial photography.

Letters from Alma and Ralph Duvall in St. Augustine, Florida to their daughter Glorian at the Lasell Seminary School in Newton, Massachusetts during the 1927 winter season. The correspondence provides a detailed account of the Duvall's Florida adventures along with ample advice and direction to their boarding school daughter.

This collection includes research and writing by Sherry Sherrod DuPree about Pentecostalism, the Rosewood Massacre, and African-American history related to the greater Gainesville area.

This collection of personal drawings documents four years that the artist William E.B. Hayman spent in St. Augustine and Deland, Florida. Unknown until this collection appeared, Hayman was one of the artists who worked on the rotunda of the Ponce de León Hotel, now Flagler College. He later bought land and built a house in St. Augustine.
