Johnston Photograph Collection
Scope and Content
The Johnston Collection consists of contact sheets and negatives for images taken by the Johnstons or their staff from 1960 to 1967. The collection has been retained in its numerical order which parallels the chronological order. All of the images provide visual documentation of the University of Florida, as well as the city of Gainesville, Florida.

Biographical/Historical Note
Samuel and Carolyn Johnston were students at the University of Florida in the early 1960s. They worked as photographers for the student annual, the Seminole. After graduation, they set up their own studio, and continued to photograph for the University for several years.
