Scope and Content

The collection consists of photographs taken by Ralph Gower, a University of Florida student in the mid 1920s. The photographs depict the annual flag fight between the freshman and sophomore classes, the 1924 homecoming, football players, the student military companies, a dormitory room, and general views of the campus. Edgar Jones and Ark Newton are among the football players shown. Also depicted is a bear cub that was a dormitory mascot.
