Klein H. Graham Papers

 Collection
Identifier: Ms Coll. 104

Scope and Content

The collection consists primarily of his writings and speeches, several or which chronicle his long tenure at the University. Included in the collection is a History of the University of Florida Business Office that also provides his memories and comments on other aspects of UF history. A heavily edited earlier version of this manuscript had previously been misidentified as that of Dean of Students R. C. Beaty. The collection also contains a smattering of early university business documents that he retained as well as miscellaneous documents and correspondence. There is also a bound set of testimonial letters sent to him after his retirement in 1948.

The collection was compiled from four different sources. The first item acquired was the university history that had been mistakenly included with materials from Dean Beaty. More Graham materials were later discovered in the University Archives and later still in papers held by University Historian Samuel Proctor. Finally, manuscript materials were found in Graham’s biographical file in the University Archives when processing was completed in 2017, including the final version of this History of the University of Florida Business Office.

Alternate Form of Material

A digital reproduction of the early version of his History of the Business Office is available online via the University of Florida Digital Collections (UFDC). Please read the Permissions for Use statement for information on copyright, fair use, and use of UFDC digital objects.
