Scope and Content
Manuscript Collection 109 consists of records from the Tau Alpha Chapter of Tau Epsilon Phi at the University of Florida, a Greek letter society rooted in the Jewish student population. The collection contains records related to the construction and maintenance of the TEP house and the sale of the original house on University Avenue. The collection includes the fraternity's official minutes from 1930 to 1956, rush brochures, pledge rituals, publications, and financial records. Also included in the collection is correspondence to and from Samuel Proctor during the years when he served as the fraternity's faculty advisor, approximately 1956 to 1968.

Acquisition Information
The collection was the gift of Samuel Proctor who served as the fraternity faculty advisor for many years, but also as its unofficial historian. The bulk of the collection was arranged and described in the 1990s. In 2006 and 2017, additional records related to TEP were found in the Samuel Proctor Papers and added to this collection. They are marked as first and second addenda in the contents list.
