Originally recorded on reel-to-reel and reformatted to digital audio in May 2004.
Recorded at Big Cypress Indian Reservation, June 24, 1957, and the Dania (now Hollywood) Indian Reservation, June 26, 1957. Segments 1-6 were made at Big Cypress. The last segment was recorded at the Mekasukey Independent Baptist Church at the Hollywood Indian Reservation.

00:04:25-00:08:30. Legend of the coontie flour told by Webster Wise.
00:08:30-00:13:20. Numbers Song and counting in five Indian languages. Sung and told by Josie Billy.
00:13:20-00:14:45. Hunting Dance Song sung by Johnny Cypress.
00:14:45-00:17:46. Religious song sung by Johnny Cypress and Webster Wise.
00:17:47-00:21:00. Stump Dance (Busketah) song performed at Green Corn Dance Ceremony sung by Johnny Cypress.
00:21:00-00:30:43. Gospel songs sung in English by high school girls. Narration between songs in native language. The recording stops abruptly.

Biographical/Historical Note
Ira England received his doctorate in education from the University of Florida in June, 1957. His dissertation was entitled "The Florida Seminole: A study in acculturation, culture change, and curriculum."
