Student Body Laws of the University of Florida Student Senate
Scope and Content
This is an ongoing series.
Forms part of the Student Government Legislative Archives as codified in Chapter 300.4/A of the Constitution and statutes of the University of Florida Student Body which states "All laws and by-laws shall be entitled Student Body Laws and be designated by the last two digits of the calendar year followed by a hyphen and the chronological order of the enactment, beginning with '100'. For example, Student Body Law 70-138 would be the 39th law enacted during the calendar year 1970."
Series 14 contains the laws and by-laws approved by the Student Senate and its predecessor, the Legislative Council. Student Body laws include all enactment except resolutions, proclamations, authorizations, and constitutional amendments. Such enactment would include, among other things, approvals of student organization constitutions and budgets, amendments to Senate rules and procedures, line item transfers, and expenditure approvals.
