WRUF Program Materials
Scope and Content
Record Series 68 contains early sign-on logs and program schedules for radio station WRUF at the University of Florida. WRUF went on the air on October 13, 1928 and the earliest log is dated November 20, 1929. Among the student broadcasters whose initials can be found in this series are Jimmy Butsch, Red Barber, and Otis Boggs. Also included are materials for a radio bible class taught by Professor William Harold Wilson, a script for the National Farm and Home Hour (1936), materials for a 1932 music appreciation program, and radio addresses from 1933 entitled "The Economic Conditions of Today."
