Scope and Content
Series 177 contains bills proposed by the University of Florida Student Senate from 1975 to 2022. Bills dated 1984-1993 and 2012-2021 are missing.
Chapter 301.1 of the Constitution defines bills as "all proposals, regardless of their nature, on which formal action by the Senate is desired... numbered sequentially as received by the Senate Secretary with a prefix indicating the four digits of the calendar year." Proposals include bills proposing laws, authorizations, resolutions, constitutional amendments, rules of procedure, and any formal motion desired in writing.
