Scope and Content

This collection is a cross-section of brochures from all over the state of Florida. The materials are organized in alphabetical order. Among the brochures are items from well-known attractions, including Weeki Wachi, Cypress Gardens, and Silver Springs, and from the opening season of Disney World. The binder has brochures of fishing locations, other theme parks, springs, and cities. It is maintained as a “sampler” collection of brochures.

Biographical/Historical Note

This collection of Florida tourism brochures was donated by Michael Jackson FAIA from a larger collection on tourism. Most of the brochures are of Florida attractions and date to the 1960s and 1970s.
