Collection contains syllabi and instructional materials for Dr. Albert Wehlburg's courses taught at the University of Florida's Department of Theatre. Much of the material is Dr. Wehlburg's lecture notes and assignments for the various courses.

Biographical/Historical Note
Albert Frederich Cornelis Wehlburg (1937-) received his M.A. from the University of Florida in 1966 and his Ed.D. from the University of Florida in 1973. He worked in the School of Theatre and Dance at the University of Florida for over 30 years, retiring as Professor Emeritus.
According to his profile at the School of Theatre and Dance, “taught over 45,000 students in the School of Theatre + Dance during his thirty-year career at the University of Florida. Dr. Wehlburg has served as Lighting Designer, Technical Coordinator, Business Manager, and Scenic Designer for over 350 productions, including collegiate, amateur, and professional productions. He managed the Florida Players production finances for over thirty years and served as Florida Players liaison with Student Government until 1996. Dr. Wehlburg wrote the book Theatre Lighting: An Illustrated Glossary, and he has published several journal articles such as "It is Better Upside Down" in Players Magazine. Dr. Wehlburg was President of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local #360 for over twenty years. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Gainesville Civic Ballet, the Hippodrome State Theatre, FSSA and FATE. He was member of several University of Florida committees and was an active faculty member in student activities.”
