Collection contains records of the University of Florida Department of Civil and Coastal Engineering. Included are over 1100 photographs of Coastal Engineering projects from various places in Florida, with the envelopes that describe the nature of the project and the location.

Biographical/Historical Note

The University of Florida's Department of Civil and Coastal Engineering began in 1958 as the Coastal Engineering Department. In 1980, the name was changed to the Coastal and Oceanographic Engineering Department, and was changed again in 2000 to the Department of Civil and Coastal Engineering.
