Biographical/Historical Note
Louise Newman received her PhD (1992) and her M.A. (1986) from Brown University, Postbac in Economics from Université de Genève, and A.B., cum laude, in English and American Literature from Harvard University. She joined the University of Florida in 1993 after teaching at Brown and Harvard University. Since 2000, she is also affiliate faculty at the Center for Gender Sexualities, and Women’s Studies Research at the University of Florida.
