The Lady Gator Golf Boosters Records date from 1984 to 2022 and consist of scrapbooks/histories highlighting the history of the Florida Gators Women’s Golf Team as well as minute books for the Lady Gator Golf Boosters, containing correspondence, meeting notes, newsletters, By-Laws, membership reports, treasury reports, and awards. The LGGB website has also been archived.

Biographical/Historical Note

The Lady Gator Golf Boosters is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support to the UF Women’s Golf program. The Boosters were established in 1984 by Ann Ives. Ives decided she wanted to learn more about golfers after watching Deb Richard hit a hole in one at the 1983 Lady Gator Golf Invitational. Ives along with then coach Mimi Ryan and other golf fans established the Lady Gator Golf Boosters to follow and support the University of Florida Women’s Golf Team. The UF Women’s Golf team has won NCAA Championships, SEC Championships and many collegiate golf tournaments. The program has produced numerous NCAA and Academic All-Americans and has been represented on the LPGA, as well. The LGGB has worked to upgrade facilities, supply new equipment, host events, and provide volunteers.
