Abstract

The collection contains various documents related to Latin American countries including Mexico, South and Central America (Cuba, Haiti, and Caribbean Islands documents can be found in related collections). The collections are comprised of a variety of materials highlighting the history, culture, and study of Latin America. These materials have been acquired from various sources over a period of many years and are grouped together because each acquisition consists of a small number of items (e.g., a single letter, manuscript, or photograph album).

Revision Statements

  • 2023 March : One item added to the collection, "Movimiento Guerrillero y su Influencia en la Crisis Política Nacional", by Pompeyo Márquez.
  • November 2023: The following two items were added to the collection: Recetas de dulces, pasteles, repostería, Carmen Landeta de Cuesta, (1 of 2) Recetas de guisos, dulces, pasteles, repostería y niebe, Carmen Landeta de Cuesta, (2 of 2)
  • December 2023: The following items were added to the collection: 1 booklet of educational reform in Bolivia "En la hora de la reforma educativa"; five notecards with colored drawings of traditional indigenous costumes from Guatemala.
  • March 2024: Three items were added to the collection: Women line up to vote in Mexican Presidential Election for first time; List of dowry women Archconfraternity; Historical accounts of the College of Our Lady of Charity's Maiden Daughters.
  • September 2024: There were ten sexual education flyers from the Ministerio de Educacion Sexual of Argentina, and four El Tejo magazines added to the collection. A Spanish guide was created for the collection.
