The bulk of the collection consists of drawings and photographs for Seymour's landscape designs, primarily residential. Also included are some biographical and autobiographical materials, as well as clippings and notes on various projects.

Biographical/Historical Note
Jonathan G. Seymour was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on January 19, 1919. He graduated from the University of Georgia and then moved to Miami in 1947 after serving in the Air Corps Engineers during World War II. He served as Landscape Architect for the City of Coral Gables from 1948-1956, and then he established his private practice in 1956. He spent most of his career in Miami and designed for a variety projects in Miami, Miami Beach, Florida, the Caribbean, the U.S., and South America. He was named Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects. He died in 2013.
