Biographical/Historical Note
The Center for Performing Arts opened at the University of Florida in January 1992 with performances of the musical, Cats. It was named the Curtis M. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in 2000 with the establishment of the Barbara J. and Curtis M. Phillips Endowment Fund.
