Richard L. Seaberg Papers
Scope and Content
The collection includes plans, renderings, photographs, and architectural drawings documenting Richard L. Seaberg's residential and commercial designs in Florida and Bahamas from 1993-2021. Most of the Florida projects are from North Palm Beach, Jupiter Island, and the Atlantic coast of the state. Most of the projects in the Bahamas are from Elbow Cay, Abaco. The collection also includes drawings and photos for the Anspach House in North Carolina. The majority of the materials are reproductions of original plans and photos.

Biographical/Historical Note
Architect Richard L. Seaberg was born July 22, 1944, in Boston, Massachusetts. He attended the Rhode Island School of Design, and began his career in architecture and design in the mid-1960s in Massachusetts. He opened the firm of R.L. Seaberg Associates in 1968 in Norwell, MA, and he opened a second office in Osterville, MA, in 1980. After practicing for almost thirty years in New England, Seaberg relocated to North Palm Beach, Florida, and in 1993 starting designed numerous projects in Florida and in the Caribbean, particularly in the Bahamas. He published two books: "Architecture By Richard L. Seaberg" (2017) and "Hope Town: Reality of a Dream" (2016). Seaberg died on July 4, 2023.
