Scope and Content

The collection contains rare photographs of a young Fidel Castro after he was arrested for suspicion of murder of Manolo Castro, including a photograph where Castro was undergoing a paraffin test for gun powder residue. The collection also contains several portrait photographs of Ernesto 'Che' Guevara, including a rare photograph at Sierra Maestra where he was giving a radio broadcast. The collection will be of interest to scholars and academics interested in the history of Cuba, the Cuban revolution, Fidel Castro, and Ernesto 'Che' Guevara.
