Biographical/Historical Note

Theodore R. "Ted" Crom is a retired structural engineer contractor and the author of several publications on horological subjects, particularly focusing on the tools used to manufacture clocks and watches. He holds an honorary Doctor of Engineering degree from the University of Maryland, is a Silver Star Fellow of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, a British Horological Institute Fellow, and a Barrett Silver Medal awardee, and is a member of numerous horological associations worldwide.
