Series 11 contains clippings, minutes, agendas, correspondence, memos, photocopies of articles, lists of members of the Faculty Education Policy Group, E-mail print outs, reports, and policy statements. Some of the key issues discussed include faculty salaries, undergraduate education, the status of the College of Fine Arts, and faculty participation in academic decision making.

Biographical/Historical Note

The Faculty Education Policy Group at the University of Florida was created in 1974 by President Robert Q. Marston. The group acted as a liaison between the university administration and the faculty on issues of concern to both. The group was dissolved in 1991.

Acquisition Information

The papers were donated to the University Archives by Dr. David Chalmers who was the chair of the FEPG in 1989-90 and who was also a member from its inception in 1974.
