Series 47 contains the administrative records of the deans of the College of Journalism and Communications and its predecessor, the School of Journalism at the University of Florida. Contains information on the history of the College, college publications, correspondence, audio/visual materials, financial and fundraising information from the college, and information on the WRUF and WUFT-TV stations.

Organized in two subseries: Subseries 47a, which contains the records of Dean Rae O. Weimer and Subseries 47b, which contains the administrative records of Dean Ralph Lowenstein.
